Facial Hair Removal

Not all men feel the need to shave their legs, arms, backs, and chest – but all of them will shave all or part of their face. Not all men have the ability to grow large amounts of facial hair and others will grow it so fast that it is difficult for them to keep up with it all. When removing facial hair the only method to use is shaving.

While it would be nice to simply was it off or use a laser to keep it from growing back this is neither safe or practical to use on the face. Only women will use these alternate methods to remove facial hair because they have very little of it.

Shaving facial hair is not as easy as it might seem – but after only a few times you will find it much easier. When using this method you want to make sure that you have the necessary supplies and are doing the method properly.

Types Of Razors

  • Men might have sensitive faces or they might have tough faces. The type of skin that they have will help them to determine what type of razor they should use. Most men will use disposable razors because of how easy they are to use and to bring with them when they travel. These razors will have different kinds of blades that will provide a smooth shave and will cost around $20.
  • Another common razor to use is the electric razor. The great thing about these is that you do not have to purchase razor blades every so often. However, many men feel that they do not provide a close enough shave and they can be difficult to clean. These types of razors will cost between $30 to $60.
  • Last but not least you will have the option to use the straight edged razors. These are some of the most expensive razors on the market and can cost as much as $100. While these razors are not commonly used they provide men with the closest shave and the blade can easily be sharpened with the right tools. Just be careful when using these because you can cut yourself easily with them.

How To Shave Facial Hair

  • To prepare your face for shaving you need to take a warm shower or apply a warm washcloth against your face. This will soften the hair, open the pores, and make it easier and quicker for you to shave. When using a straight or disposable razor you need to fill a bowl or the bathroom sink with warm water. You will use this to rinse out the blade after each stroke.
  • Apply shaving cream or shaving soap evenly and smoothly to your face. When using a shaving brush swirl the cream over your face in a circular motion.
  • Use the razor and start at the top of the face and move down along the hair growth. Go slowly over the face to prevent from cutting yourself and to remove all the hair. Remember after each stroke to rinse out the hair and cream from the blade.
  • When you have removed all the hair rinse your face off with cold water and pat it dry. Use a moisturizing aftershave or lotion that does not have any alcohol.
