Back Hair Removal

Back hair is the hardest thing for men to remove. There are three different methods that they are able to use when trying to remove the back hair; shaving, waxing, and laser treatments. Each of these will vary in how easy or difficult it is to use and how much it will cost.

Shaving is the cheapest method to use and usually it would be the easier – but not in this case. The only way you can remove it through shaving is to have someone who can do it for you or to purchase a special electric back razor. These razors will cost around $40, are compact, lightweight, and designed to reach each area of your back. The only problem with this method is that you run the risk of irritating your skin and having ingrown hairs.

Waxing is much easier then shaving if you pay someone between $30 to $100 to do it for you. You can spend $15 and purchase a waxing kit and have someone you know wax your back. The advantage to this method is that it will remove the hair quickly and you won’t have to do it everyday. The problem with it is that it is quite painful and many men do not have the pain threshold for it.

Laser Hair Removal

This procedure was approved by the FDA in 1997 for being an effective and safe hair reduction procedure. It uses an intensified beam of light that will target the melanin – dark pigment – inside of the skin. When it reaches the hair follicle it will release a great deal of heat. This is what will separate the hair from the roots. When that happens it will remove the hair for awhile and will help to thin it out.

The good thing about this procedure is that it is very effective and is less painful then waxing. However, it takes several treatments before it will take care of most of the hair and it can cost anywhere between $100 to $500 for each session.
